Let us introduce you to Benromach 12 Years Old - the latest addition to our award-winning signature range.

Bottled at 46% and non-chill filtered, the 12 Year Old is the perfect balance between rich cask influences and subtle smoke characteristics. It's a whisky with great depth yet wonderfully harmonious all at the same time.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: Old gold, forms a thin line which falls as slow, thin legs

Nose: Candied fruit, cinnamon Danish pastries, caramel sauce, milk chocolate, ginger and a hint of smoke

Palate: Medium body with a touch of creaminess. Rich fruitcake, Terry’s dark chocolate orange, red berries, caramel toffee, soft smoke, cinnamon and ginger spice

Finish: Cinnamon and ginger gradually dissipate to leave mildly tannic oak, subtle smoke and a hint of cooling menthol

Summary: Benromach have brought this in as their new flagship expression, so it’s little wonder there is much to admire about this whisky. It’s well balanced with a decent amount of flavour and complexity, bringing a definite Christmas cake feel although it falls short of crossing the line into sherry bomb territory. Current price is £45, which I would have to say is good value for money.
