Brave New Spirits - WhiskyHeroes - The Lure of the Sirens - 50.1%
From the bottlers
In a secret lair, hidden amidst the rolling hills of Scotland, a league of whisky artisans dons their capes (and aprons) to craft something truly extraordinary.
The WhiskyHeroes is a range of spectacular single-cask whiskies and exclusive small batches, matured only in classic bourbon and sherry casks. Each bottle is infused with a dash of mischief and a pinch of heroism.
These casks are the heroes of the whisky world, so the whiskies and the presentation of the range reflect this. Each bottle is designed to be bold. Each whisky is full of character and adventure, every release chosen for its ability to take the whisky fan on an adventure of flavors and history.
“The Lure of the Sirens” is a 17 Year Old Tamdhu Single Malt, finished in a 1st fill Sherry Quarter Cask and bottled at 50.1% abv. With its evocative imagery of sirens beckoning from beneath the waves, this whisky invites you to explore its rich, sherry-soaked depths. It is a single-cask release with only 282 bottles available.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: Burnished gold, forms a thin line which beads before slowly falling as thick, oily legs
Nose: Toasted cereal, hazelnuts and a touch of icing sugar sweetness
Palate: Creamy mouthfeel, dried fruit and nuts, caramel sauce, baked bananas sprinkled with honey and brown sugar, dark fruit coulis and a touch of black pepper
Finish: Caramelized hazelnuts, heather honey, mildly astringent oak spice and peppery heat.
Overall: Tamdhu spirit and sherry casks go so well together and this one is no different. A little shy of being a full-on Oloroso Sherry bomb, but the influence still makes its presence felt. Rich fruit, nuttiness and a lovely brown sugar sweetness make this incredibly easy to drink. Water brings more creaminess but isn’t necessary as this dram really doesn’t need it.
