Brave New Spirits - WhiskyHeroes - Deep Creatures of the Lake - 58.1%
From the bottlers
In a secret lair, hidden amidst the rolling hills of Scotland, a league of whisky artisans dons their capes (and aprons) to craft something truly extraordinary.
The WhiskyHeroes is a range of spectacular single-cask whiskies and exclusive small batches, matured only in classic bourbon and sherry casks. Each bottle is infused with a dash of mischief and a pinch of heroism.
These casks are the heroes of the whisky world, so the whiskies and the presentation of the range reflect this. Each bottle is designed to be bold. Each whisky is full of character and adventure, every release chosen for its ability to take the whisky fan on an adventure of flavors and history.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: The colour of aged Chardonnay, forms a thin line which beads before gradually falling as slow, thin legs.
Nose: Green apples, heather honey, vanilla pods, orange peel, tropical fruit.
Palate: Tropical fruit, Terry’s white chocolate orange, very subtle peat smoke, salted caramel toffee, chilli heat. A few drops of water softens the heat, allowing the tropical fruit, caramel and a little more of the gentle peat smoke to make their presence known.
Finish: Chilli spice builds together with apple peel and a little cereal. With water becomes slightly savoury with tobacco leaf and soft peat smoke, together with a little chilli heat.
Overall: This one runs a touch too hot for me, it needs a little water to tame it enough to bring out the rest of the notes. With water it’s a pleasant summer dram, personally I think it would have benefited from a little more of the peated element coming through but if you like a very subtle smoke in your whisky this may well be worth seeking out.
