Milk & Honey Classic - 46%
From the distillery website
Matured under the Tel-Aviv sun. Our Classic Single Malt Whisky is made using the finest ex-bourbon casks and our special red-wine STR casks, giving it a light and balanced character.
Nose: Gentle vanilla sweetness, followed by light oak and floral notes.
Palate: Light body, vanilla, caramel and honey sweetness, balanced by oaky notes and light black pepper spiciness.
Finish: Short but delicate. The oak notes linger in the palate for a while with a nice light spiciness.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Honey gold, forms a thin line which falls as very slow, thin oily legs.
Nose: Sweet and fruity, strawberries, apple and pink marshmallows.
Palate: Creamy mouthfeel, foam shrimps, caramel, vanilla, orchard fruits, peppery spice and just a hint of earthiness.
Finish: Short and fruity with a hint of vanilla, gentle cinnamon warmth.
Summary: A very pleasant, easy drinking introduction to the Milk and Honey range. For me, the star of the show was the lovely mouthfeel, slightly oily at first before turning soft and creamy at the front of the palate. Priced at around £45 this is a very enjoyable whisky, and one which provides a great insight into the M&H DNA.
